Lela Lee began posting Angry Little Asian Girl comics on her website in 1998, which quickly became a destination for people eager to see themselves in the media. Encouraged by the response, especially from women, more characters were added, and the comic was renamed "Angry Little Girls." In 2005, her first book, "Angry Little Girls," was traditionally published by Harry N. Abrams. A total of six books were released. Now, all titles are published under her company, Angry Little Girls, Inc.
