Autorenporträt
Adhya Krish was born in 1987 to a urban, middle-class, Indian family. Her parents were fond of books and so she had a childhood full of Enid Blyton, Rudyard Kipling, Nancy Drew and J.K. Rowling stories. After graduating in Zoology, Adhya Krish changed her line of interest to management and went to UK for higher studies. After finishing two masters, she started working in a multinational bank in India. But, she soon lost interest because of the monotony and lack of learning in the role. After a year, she left the job and decided to discover her true calling after reading- Om Swami's- 'If truth be told- A monk's memoir.' It was during this period, she had a vision of a painting which was full of riddles. She first dismissed it as one of her dreams but the vision started recurring and with a determination of making a strong female protagonist- she started writing Anikaa & The Mystery of the Painting. Though a lot of publishers showed interest in her manuscript, they all eventually asked her to wait indefinitely or distribute the costs (pay 50% of publishing costs). And, so after a year of completing the story, Adhya Krish self-published the book. She is currently working on the second part of the series- Anikaa & The Escape.
