Andreas Werner beschäftigt sich seit seinem vierzehnten Lebensjahr mit Hunden, 1990 entdeckte er seine Leidenschaft für den Labrador und den Golden Retriever und gründete kurz darauf den "Zwinger of Golden Kennel". Er eröffnete ein Heimtierfachgeschäft mit Hundesalon und lernte in dieser Zeit die die Vorzüge des Pudels kennen. Interessiert verfolgte er die gezielte Verpaarung zwischen Pudel und Labrador Retriever, die in Australien und den USA bereits erfolgreich praktiziert wurde. Es folgte eine Labradoodle-Studienreise in die USA, auf der es ihm gelang, einige Labradoodle für sein Zuchtvorhaben zu importieren. Kurz darauf gründete Andreas Werner den Labradoodle Club Deutschland e.V. und setzt sich seither für die Anerkennung des Ladradoodles als Rasse durch die FCI ein.
