Autorenporträt
Dulcey Lima grew up in the Chicago area and received a BS degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois. She holds a certificate degree in Orthotics through Northwestern University, and is a Certified Orthotist. She specializes in treating children and adults with orthopedic problems and physical challenges. Sarah Lima is the Director of New Exhibits at the Cincinnati Museum Center in Ohio. She has a Master's Degree in Archeology from the University of Cincinnati and has extensive, international field experience in Greek and Albanian archeology. Both authors have published extensively in their fields. These two women find that photography and writing are pathways to communing with the world around us. Their passion for nature has been manifested into a wonderful book for children entitled Animals Among Us with Dulcey contributing animal images from across the globe and Sarah creating factual and delightful couplets for each animal. This book fuses artistry and wordplay into a children's book for kids 2-8 and seeks to capture the essence of each animal. It is their wish to create a book that will have a positive, visual impact by exposing details and beauty that will open children's (and grown up's) hearts to the wonders of nature.
