" The book is based on true events. Roy the Rooster, who appeared in a suburban neighborhood and played cat and mouse with the people of the neighborhood for over six weeks, stars in this story. Follow the zany antics of this lonely rooster who only wants to fit in with city folks that can¿t get used to his early morning cock-a-doodle-doing. Can the neighborhood folks and this naughty bird be friends in the end? Read his story to find out!"

Autorenporträt
Philip L. Houston is a first-time author, but he plans a complete series of children's stories under the "Animals in My Neighborhood" title. He is a grandfather who loves reading stories to his five grandchildren, so writing stories based on true events seemed like a natural direction for an aspiring author. Besides, it is a lot of fun for him to see the excitement in his grandchildren's eyes when Dada reads to them. Look for more upcoming stories: The Adventures of Harley the Chocolate Lab, The Split-Eared Bunny that Loved Strawberries, Henry and Henrietta at the Waffle House, plus a few more surprises!
