This work, 'Annang Dances' stems from this interest. It draws motifs, themes,and other compositional materials from Annang traditional music for an original composition of slow and fast dances. These compositional materials are used aa a stepping stone and also as a point of departure for this original composition for contemplation and which can de danced to; and to create an identity - African identity in general and that of Annang traditional music in particular. Dr. Isaac Udoh lectures at the Department of Music, University of Uyo and a Reverend Minister in Methodist Church Nigeria. Beside his interest in Church Music,his research interest is in creative musicology, deriving his compositional materials from traditional musical elements for art compositions.He has published many articles in learned journal.
