Autorenporträt
D.E. Magee was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. She earned her B.S. in Music Education from Indiana Central University, her M.M. from Butler University, and has done post graduate work at Ball State University. She has taught a variety of vocal music classes at South Newton School Corporation in Kentland, Indiana for over 40 years. She is a soprano soloist and her vocal group, Joysound, has entertained audiences for more than three decades. She has always loved to read and hopes to inspire others to do the same. This is her fourth children's book; she plans to write a special book for each of her grandchildren. Ellen has two sons and nine grandchildren. She and her husband, Tim Gerbracht, live near Brook, Indiana in an 1880's farm house with a very big yard where they love to play with the little ones. In addition to writing, she loves sewing, gardening and collecting glassware and hearts. She also loves to travel and has been to China, Aruba, Iceland and several other European Countries. Her next trip will be to Ireland where she will search for her Magee ancestors.
