Now retired but still working as a substitute teacher, Patricia Waugh had many careers before settling in at Michigan State University as an educator in the Institute of Children and Youth. She has a B.A. in English from the University of Michigan and an M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Hays State University in Kansas. The mother of three children, Patricia was born in Alabama but moved to Michigan with her parents as a young child. In her heart Alabama is is till home and she visits often. She loves the red dirt and hot sunshine. She also loves the great lakes state, except for winter! Although she has always written, Annie Pearl is her first published book.
