The frequency of diagnosed pathologies as well as mortality in internal medicine is diversely appreciated in the world. The internal medicine service of the University Hospital Center (CHU) of Point G, considered as a 3rd reference service in Mali, is a multidisciplinary service that receives patients with various diseases such as infectious and parasitic diseases, cardiovascular diseases, endocrine and metabolic diseases, and systemic diseases. The three previous studies evaluating the activities of the service show that the frequency of diagnosed pathologies as well as the mortality varied over the years. However, some pathologies related to adult health do not appear among the priority health actions retained by the authorities and which could lead to an increase in hospital morbidity and mortality. Thus, we decided to make an annual assessment of the activity of the internal medicine department of the Point G University Hospital. The objective of this work was to update our data on the frequency of pathologies diagnosed in hospitalized patients.
