There has been a significant emphasis in current research on realization of compact wireless systems. As a result, it has been imperative to focus on reducing the physical size of the individual system components and building blocks of a modern wireless communication system. The electronics industry has historically decreased the physical dimensions of their product offerings. Antennas are critical devices that enable wireless products. Antenna miniaturization techniques is considered and explored through the application of high-contrast material and reactive loading. The compact / miniaturized antennas have the advantage of phenomenal growth in low profile, light weight, high gain, efficient and low cost. There are lots of methods for miniaturization of antenna like increasing the electrical length, meandering line, using inductive and capacitive effect etc. Miniaturization of a dipole antenna is achieved using a loop as a reactive loading element. The design also offers ease of fabrication and a high efficiency, to the reactive compensation effect being provided by the loops without using a coiled conductor structure.
