Bernard Heys born on 10.11.1939 at Bealey Maternity Home Radcliffe Lancashire to Walter and Martha Heys.
He was educated at both infant and junior level at St Mary's RC School and secondary at Thornleigh Salesian College Bolton to GCSE Level.
He continued his Further Technical education at Radcliffe Technical College, Bolton Technical College and Hatfield Institute of Technology in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering Design, with further studies in Electrical Engineering, Mechanics of Fluids and Structures.
Obtained a Diploma in Business Studies from Alexander Hamilton Institute, when working with Kellogg International.
The first six years of his career were spent with De Havilland Aircraft Co Ltd followed by four years in the production business of high-speed special purpose plant and equipment for paper, textile, and hospital laundry and cable production.
The next eighteen years were spent on the management of mega projects in Aluminium Smelting, Ship Building, Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals, Oil Refining and Polypropylene Facilities, Steel Production, North Sea Oil Facilities, Dubai Dry Dock, Al Jubayl Industrial City and Jeddah Wastewater Treatment with Buwayb Riyadh Facilities.
The next four years were spent on a four year turn around project for a multinational conglomerate with facilities in eighty countries.
Finally, twenty-five years running a business The Cranwood Partnership providing "Management, Technical and Consultancy Services for major blue-chip companies and public and private organisations pioneering the market in Facilities Management. Full details in my Autobiography, with 14 Mega Projects around the globe. Engineering second to none.
During my working career I spent many years in volunteering activities and specialising as a BSI expert in the development of Harmonised Standards in Europe
A truly International life living and working with over 70 Nationalities, a truly blessed life.
I retired at seventy-two through poor health, recovered enough to start my writing career.
The family published three books including my Memoir in 2020, Anthology of poems and Lyrics in 2020 and the most important The Stealthy Viral Pimpernel in 2021.
All three have now been produced in Second Edition form and two published by XLIBRIS on both Amazon and XLIBRIS Book Store.
My Memoir Second Edition has yet to be published.
All three are in Memory of the family Matriarch Mary Carmel Heys.
I am contributing to The Bereaved Families Group, and the official Inquiry into the Government Failures in managing the Pandemic.
