Hence,the author took an attempt to collect as much as possible plants and with much efforts 1680 plants having anticancer potential was presented in this book.Care was taken to cover plants belonging to alphabet A to Z including their family, compounds, mechanism of action as well as cell lines,animal, human models on which the active principles, extracts were studied by different researchers,forsome plants the cytotoxic effect was also given.Most of the works were used invitro human cell cultures only.The anticancer role was through its antioxidant activity,altered protein etc.

Dr. M.Krishnaveni is an Assistant Professor of Department of Computer Science, Avinashilingam University for Women,Coimbatore. She has 6 years of research experience working as researcher in Naval Research Board, DRDO. She has published several papers with an overall count of 60 international level and holds national,international funded projects.
