This book is about an evaluation of anthropometric measurements between inter- college level female basketball and volleyball players. The study exposed some interesting facts that how far basketball and volleyball players are alike or different in anthropometric variables. For the purpose of the study a total of one hundred and twenty players; sixty female volleyball and sixty female basketball players who played at inter-college level were drawn from Panjab University, Chandigarh. The age was ranged from 18 to 24 years. The following anthropometric variables were selected for the purpose of this study: weight, height, arm length, upper arm girth, sitting height, calf circumferences and leg length. To compare basketball and volleyball players, t test was applied and the level of significance chosen was set at 0.05. There were no significant differences obtained in the anthropometric variables among inter-college level female volleyball and basketball players. This book will be helpful for coaches, trainers and physical education professionals to select the players. The study may add a new dimension in the literature of physical education and sports sciences.
