This study, 'An assessment of awareness and perception regarding anti-tobacco legislation among students, the law implementers and the current status of its implementation in education institutes of Delhi', was conducted as an Operational Research Project for the State Tobacco Cell, New Delhi, India. The Union (International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease) took interest in the study and came forward to fund it and to make this study as their operational research project for the financial year 2010. After completion of the study, report was submitted to both State Tobacco Cell and International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease. The study intends to explore the awareness of school students and college participants (students and staffs) regarding Cigarette and Other Tobacco Product Act (COTPA), 2003 and to find out its implementation status in educational institutions of Delhi.
