Basically, with a view to protect the wearer and the textile substrates itselfantibacterial treatment is applied to textile materials. Therefore, cotton fabric was treated with kinnow peels extract to assess its efficacy against antibacterial activity & washing. Aqueous (cold) extracts prepared from kinnow peels is applied on cotton fabric and antibacterial activity of the treated cotton fabrics were also assessed before and after washing using standard test method. The results revealed that kinnow peels extract treated samples exhibited good wash durability after 24 hours of inoculation in washed samples (one wash). After 24 hours, it gradually decreased in the antibacterial activity with an increase in incubation period. However, it is needed to retreat the fabric samples after every wash.
