From more than 50 years, the mortality rates for cancer did not significantly improve. Cancer synthetic chemoprevention involves pharmacologic intervention chemicals to prevent, inhibit or reverse carcinogenesis or prevent the development of invasive cancer. However, several side effects are appeared by these chemotherapeutic drugs. Therefore, we did several attempts as spotlight on cancer therapeutics "back to nature" to avoid these effects by using natural anticancer. In this book, various Egyptian medicinal plants, traditional herbs, spices, vegetables, fruits, and aquatic organisms from desert areas, coastal areas, and traditional market were studied. Their extracts and active principles were implemented and tested for antioxidant and anticancer activities. (Most of the experimental work was funded through STDF-Egypt project ID 312)
