The present study was carried out to investigate leaves of Bauhinia foveolata for pharmacognostical, preliminary phytochemical investigation and screening of in vitro and in vivo anticancer models such as MTT Assay and ECS lines. The pharmacognostical evaluation of leaves of Bauhinia foveolata such as moisture content, extractive value, ash value, and acid- insoluble ash and water soluble ash values were determined. Microscopic evaluation (Transverse section) of Bauhinia foveolata leaf revealed the presence of midrib, lateral veins and lamina. Powder microscopy exhibited the presence of Calcium oxalate crystals, epidermal out growth and trichomes. The TE and TA extracts were subjected to preliminary phytochemical investigation, the results of phytochemical investigation revealed the presence of flavonoids, glycosides, triterpenoid and tannins. TE and TA extracts were subjected for in-vitro and in-vivo anticancer activity. TE and TA extracts revealed the antitumor activity.
