The findings from this book highlighted the benefits and complications of improvisational music therapy to assist children who experience anxiety and struggle with unstoppable worrying. The use of music therapy interventions have always been used as a treatment method with children diagnosed with ASD; however, improvisational music therapy has not been considered regularly for decreasing symptoms of anxiety among children with autism who experience restlessness and distress. In addition to effectiveness of improvisational music therapy on decreasing symptoms of anxiety, the social motivational aspect of musical interaction between the child and the therapist that occurred through improvisational music therapy sessions was magnificent.
