Autorenporträt
Born and raised in Hesse, Germany, Mirja R. Knoche grew up as a jolly countryside summer child. Her early love for moving pictures and literary storytelling paved her way to becoming an avid reader, writer and cinema enthusiast. From going to the video store with her dad, being read to by her mum and grandmas or making up dreamy tales with her sister, young Mirja R. Knoche is all aboard the imagination train. And her chosen destination has long been the United States of America. A crime buff, Christmas fanatic and history as well as myth-making fan, she is set to learn all about her country of dreams in studying 'American Studies' in Berlin - one step up on the ladder to success. And one step closer to the East Coast where she pictures herself as a screenwriter, a New York Times journalist or a Disney Imagineer. "Anyway, Don't Be a Stranger" is Mirja R. Knoche's third poetry anthology.
