Similarly Clay-polymer nanocomposites based drug delivery system has the potential in oral sustained drug released in vitro condition at the physiologically required site which will in turn minimize the side effects specially in the treatment of cancer and is expected to provide better therapeutic efficacy in other medical areas. Thus by developing clay polymer nanocomposite systems, one can expect to combine the best properties of polymers as well as of the clay to obtain synergism. Moreover, it also reduces the cost of new drug development.
