A practical guide on the application and testing of avocado seed and red sandal wood dyes on Sidarhombifolia blended fabric explains in general the traditional methods of extraction and application of natural dyes of plant origin on fabrics. Amongst so many natural dyes of plant origin, this book focuses on the extraction, application and testing of avocado seed and red sandal dyes on sidarhombifolia blended fabric. Sidarhombifolia blended fabric consists of Sidarhombifolia fibers and cotton fibers blended together. The book explains step by step the procedure of application of dyes with or without mordant on the fabric. Giving the importance of dyes absorption and its fastness properties on fabrics, the book explains the method of testing these properties with the help of UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. Considering the environmental hazards caused by synthetic dyes, this book is strongly recommended to lecturers and researchers specializing on chemical processing of textile e.g dyeing, to exploit and divert to natural dyes which are very eco-friendly. it will also be of great value to dye industries.
