The Primary objective in writing this book is to provide the readers the insight into structures and processes that Operations Research com offer and the enormous practical utility at its various techniques. The aim is to explain the concepts and simultaneously to develop in readers an understanding of problem solving methods based upon a careful discussion of model formulation, solution procedures and analysis. The book is desired to be self-explained and comprises six chapters. First chapter gives the idea about the application of O.R. in real world problems which are related to libraries and banking systems. In Chapters II, III and IV and attempt has been made to explore the application of Queuing Theory, Dynamic programming and Priority Goad Programming in Library management systems. In Chapter V and VI the application of Queuing Theory and other Optimization Techniques has been explained for banking management system. I hope the presentation and sequence of chapters have made the text interesting and lucid. In writing this book I have benefitted immensely by referring to many books and publications.
