Sergey V. Gaponenko is a professor and Head of the Laboratory of Nano-optics at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. He is also the author of Introduction to Nanophotonics (Cambridge, 2010) and Optical Properties of Semiconductor Nanocrystals (Cambridge, 1999).
