It is considered as the most useful yet complex human resource techniques. This study, which is exploratory in nature, extrapolate on the impact of motivation levels of the employees in non-academic organization in India and in the United Kingdom and how performance appraisal has an effect on any organization as well. This research shows that performance appraisal has a considerable effect on the organization as well as on the individual. The participants considered performance appraisal as an effective tool in documenting job progress and performance and also that it helped them be aware of the company's expectations towards them.
