In an uncertain environment surrounded by a lot of information, the evaluation of systemic events and the measurement of the severity of a network is a sensitive topic and must be approached with great care. The study and understanding of systemic events that can spread to banking networks contributes significantly to reducing the effect of financial contagion, topic addressed in this book. The context of the COVID19 pandemic represents a new challenge for the whole world and can represent an event that could lead to the phenomenon of financial contagion and not only. The event caused huge losses, both human and material and financial. The economies of many countries have been troubled, with the pandemic of this virus being an extremely strong shock in the global economic network. Banks are the binder of the national economy, from my point of view, and maintaining financial stability at this time is very important. Credit risk assessment is a very important topic, from my point of view, which is why this topic has been addressed. The analysis of contagion effects remains an important and topical issue for the financial-banking system and must be studied very carefully.
