RICHARD MCGUIRE es un asiduo colaborador de The New Yorker. Su obra se ha publicado en The New York Times, McSweeney's, Le Monde y Libération, entre otros. Ha participado en el guión y la dirección de dos películas de episodios Loulou et Autres Loups (2003) y Peur(s) du Noir (2007). Asimismo, ha diseñado y fabricado su propia línea de juguetes y es también el fundador y bajista del grupo de música Liquid Liquid. Las seis páginas originales de Aquí, publicadas en 1989 en la revista Raw, fueron reconocidas de inmediato como una obra transformadora que ampliaba las posibilidades del cómic. Aquí (Salamandra Graphic, 2015) ganó el Premio a la Mejor Obra en el Festival de Angulema 2016.
