This book analyses the applicability of the Arab Spring ideology to the current socio-economic hardships in Zimbabwe, with a special focus on the New Political Dispensation (NPD)which came into power on 17November 2017. Following the removal of the late long serving dictator, former President, Robert Gabriel Mugabe, from power the NPD under President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa seemed to act as an exit from the socio-economic challenges that Zimbabweans faced for the past thirty six years under Mugabe's political administration. The majority of Zimbabwean pinned their hopes for a better life on the New Political administration, but things got worse leading to a national disillusionment similar to the one faced MENA countries, riddled with the Arab Spring ideology. Interviews, questionnaires and observations were used to collect data from participant in the four selected growth points in Zimbabwe (Bikita,Chiredzi,Gutu and Zaka.). The researcher used the phenomenological approach to evaluate the socio-economic situation in Zimbabwe which came into force as a result of the failures of the Mugabe government to bring sanity to the social and economic situation in the country.
