Adding to Freire's ideology that will result in provoking students' minds, character education and instilling civic values in a country's youth will liberate their hearts as well. The problem is that the neglect of teaching ethics in our schools is adding more to corruption, submission and abjection. Accordingly, Arab Spring is a formula that should embrace the liberation of students' minds and hearts.

Mona Smadi, Ph.D. in Curricula and Methods of Teaching English at Amman-Arab University, M.A degree in Early Childhood Education at Huddersfield University/ UK, is now an Assistant Professor at AL Balqa- University, Amman- Jordan. Her professional interests are in Early Childhood Education, Children's Literature and Methods of Teaching English.
