David G. Anderson is an archaeologist with the National Park Service's Southeast Archeological Center in Tallahassee, Florida. His previous books include The Woodland Southeast coedited with Robert C. Mainfort, Jr. Steven D. Smith is Head of the Cultural Resources Consulting Division of the South Carolina Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology. He is the author of A Good Home for a Poor Man.
