The professional practice of Architecture and the teaching of it contain from its birth the historical heritage of its duality as Art and Craft, it is this duality or dichotomy that poses great challenges in their teaching practice as to harmonize the subjective and objective content and the qualitative and quantitative components present in it.From this perspective, the creation of a reference process or methodology for the teaching practice will be approached, particularly for the last phase of the formation of the Architecture undergraduate, taking as an example the Universidad Internacional del Trópico Americano -UNITROPICO- in the city of Yopal, Casanare, Colombia, with the formulation of a methodological proposal of application of mixed research for the development of the Thesis project of final year students.
