The author is a boomer who has had a variety of experiences serving inside the church as a lay leader focused on serving and connecting the church with local and global missions. Helping to lead and coordinate a number of short term missions for the church body at large, with a passion for connecting with missions organizations, which provide us with unique opportunities to come along side their work. A firm believer that serving locally and globally plays an important role in our development, not only as believers, but followers of Christ, emulating the way He served others while He walked on the earth. He and his disciples set the example that we need to continue to follow as best as we can in time we have been given.
