This memoir will help identify some of the reasons why Blacks and Whites often see matters involving race differently and may help lay the foundation for establishing a dialogue about race. eorge Smith grew up in an all-Black working-class neighborhood on Chicago's Southside in the 1950s and 1960s. He went on to earn a Graduate Degree in Business and spent more than 50 years in management and executive positions in corporate America and as a college instructor.
