Losing a loved one can be very confusing and disorienting, particularly for a young child. When my son was two years old, his father died. At the time, my son was too young to truly process the loss. He simply had questions about where Daddy was, why he was gone and what it was like where daddy now was. As a grieving wife and parent, it was very hard to make sense of our sudden loss for my son but I knew he needed comfort, lots of love and some clarity. He deserved conversation about what happened. Our conversations and love for our transitioned loved ones is what inspired this book. I hope it helps caregivers by providing a tool when they need to have difficult conversations about death with the children in their lives. This book was a work of love and remembrance of my husband Charles Carter Jr. and grandmother Gloria Augustine. Your love and light remain a guiding presence in our lives.
