We must choose to follow Jesus' teachings or choose to follow the Church's teachings. And if we choose to follow Jesus' teachings we will separate ourselves from Christianity. But the reward makes it well worth the cost. Read this book and you will see that we don't have a choice if we want to gain eternal life.

I was a senior at a major Protestant seminary, when I was deeply bothered by Church doctrines which were incompatible with Jesus' words. It seems that some of Jesus' words had to be discarded, ignored or marginalized, so the church could embrace Paul's words. Yet the Scriptures say that Jesus spoke YHVH's words with His authority, so how could I accept a doctrine contrary to Jesus' words? I could no longer attend that seminary, so I left because I had to choose between the teachings of the Church and the teachings of Jesus, so I chose Jesus' teachings, and that forced me to make other choices as well....
