Sandi Cayless now writes science fiction, after a career in which she collected four degrees in subjects ranging from biology and health to paleopalynology and engineering and worked in various research fields, sometimes literally. With penchants for dry humour, chocolate and certain science fiction shows, she's an active member of her local astronomy society and lives near Stirling in Scotland with her husband, two cats and too many telescopes.
