Autorenporträt
Diane McCarthy is a highly spirited individual who believes in equality for all beings on the planet. Diane lives in Ledyard, Connecticut, where she was born and raised. She has worked with children for over twenty-five years in school settings and outdoor education. She has traveled extensively throughout the United States as well as abroad. While living in the Bay Area, California, she earned her MA in Holistic Health at John F. Kennedy University. She, then, began working with and writing about the homeless. The result was Arlington's Dream, a humanistic story about the homeless population from a child's perspective. Diane wanted to create a tool to be used in classrooms and homes to begin a dialogue between grownups and their students/children. Diane enjoys life through nature, meditation, meeting people from all walks of life and, most importantly, by being with her active fourteen-year-old son, Kadin.
