Gertie Mae Talton is an avid genealogist/anglophile since early 1987. A Louisiana native, she is a retired accredited/certified teacher of English. Historic facts for this author include a bachelor of science degree in English / library science from Grambling State University (3.2967-Grambling, Louisiana), with additional studies at Southern Methodist University (3.00-Dallas, Texas), Dallas Baptist University (3.00-Dallas, Texas), Texas Southern University (3.21-Houston, Texas), and University of Houston-Downtown (2.75-Houston, Texas). While attending Grambling State University, she received honorable mention for the following: vice president of the C. H. Mason Club; president pro tem of Lambda Iota Tau Literary Honor Society; Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities; college honor roll (seven semesters and two summer semesters, Grambling State University); dean's list honor roll (3.60, 3.80, 4.00-Grambling State University ); cum laude graduate of Grambling State University; secretary of the Baptist Student Union, under Mr. Fred Francis; student summer missionary (Southern Baptist Convention, 1967). She has been a staff writer for the Gospel Truth Magazine, a subsidiary of the Dallas Full Gospel Holy Temple Church (1978-1981) and coauthored Full Gospel Holy Temple Church, Incorporated Bible Class Book. Currently she is a semiretired book editor/proofreader/transcriber for the Downloading of Files into the Human Psyche (Joanne Talton-Tisdale, 2013), Your Thought Life (Joanne Talton-Tisdale, 2011), Life in the Spirit (Bishop Gerald C. Moore, 2014), etc.
