Bob Ketenheim, a native Pennsylvanian, was born in Altoona and raised in Cresson. Author of two other historical titles, he has had a lifelong interest in history. Ketenheim's inspiration for Around Shrewsbury was Sister Anne Frances Pulling's Arcadia books Altoona and Cresson. Ketenheim and his family have lived in Shrewsbury since 1981.
