Experts from all corners of the earth assemble in Linz to be part of an extraordinary think tank. With a total area of 100,000 square meters, the former mail and package distribution center on the railroad grounds becomes the venue for the festival and a laboratory for the city of the future.

Gerfried Stocker, geboren 1964, Medienkünstler, Musiker, Ingenieur für Nachrichtentechnik. 1991 Gründung von x-space. Seit 1995 Geschäftsführer und künstlerischer Leiter des Ars Electronica Center.

Hannes Leopoldseder, geboren 1940, Mitbegründer der Ars Electronica und Initiator des "Prix Ars Electronica". 1974 - 1998 Landesintendant des ORF Oberösterreich, seit 1998 Informationsintendant ORF Wien.
