Jayce Kim Artist/Author pen name Serene Song was praised in schools for painting Masterpieces when she was studying Fine Arts in New York City in the 1980's. She painted numerous oil paintings which were masterpieces like the Flemish artist Jan Van Eyck's masterpieces with very thin layers of translucent oil paints in the Naturalistic and Realism. She devoted whole semester(s) painting oil paintings with layers and layers of thin oil paints, the Still-Lifes and figure paintings which later were praised as masterpieces. Because they really were very much like the masterpieces from the 14th century early Renaissance movement. However, her masterpiece oil paintings are nowhere to be found. They were lost years ago. The last time she saw them were about 30 years ago in Midtown Manhattan clubs where they had exhibited several oil paintings of Jayce Kim on the wall display. This Art Book features her work from 2012 through 2024 the last 12 years of her life. She is very much maturer and she has yet to return to painting like she did when she was young. But she is in hot pursuit of painting Purple Hearts of Abused people. And she has to paint the Abusers too! believe it or not. And of course, she is published Author every month or 2 with her new Pulitzer Award hopeful books. She wrote very casually for this book about her Art, about her schooling, her paintings and feelings. She did make Author's interesting comments and diversions talking about her Art and other topics. Some of her comments and diversions are ghastly, unbelievable and horrendous! But she spoke the truths. The Paintings she published in this book are New and visually appealing. She did not paint like she did when she was young in the style of Jan Van Eyck. Artist hopes the readers like the book and of course her paintings. She hopes her paintings inspire, makes people feel lots of feelings, invokes greatness, compassion and care. There are lots of portraits and prayers go along with them. The Art Book contains copies of masterpieces, original paintings, portraits of American Indians, her PopArt inspired by music and rock songs and the beginning of the Purple Hearts portraits of people who were abused. Evolving as an artist... Amen.
