Sara Power is a storyteller from Labrador and a former artillery officer in the Canadian Forces. Her stories have appeared in journals across Canada, the US, and the UK, and most recently in Best Canadian Stories 2024. Sara was a finalist for the RBC/PEN Canada New Voices Award and received a nomination for a National Magazine Award in the fiction category. Her stories have been recognized with fiction awards from The Malahat Review, Riddle Fence, and Toronto Star. Currently, Sara lives in Ottawa with her husband, three children, and coonhound.
