Mit acht Jahren las Sarah Diabaté ihren ersten Jugendroman, mit elf begann sie selbst zu schreiben und hat seitdem nicht mehr damit aufgehört. Als junge queere Frau mit deutsch-ivorischen Wurzeln setzt sie sich schon ihr Leben lang mit Interkulturalität und intersektionalen Identitäten auseinander. Repräsentation, Empowerment und Queer Visibility sind ihr wichtige Anliegen und dies spiegelt sich in ihren kreativen Projekten wider. Ihre englischsprachige Kurzgeschichten-Sammlung Art On The Border thematisiert die Pluralität von Kunst und legt dabei einen besonderen Fokus auf queere und multikulturelle Perspektiven. Derzeit studiert sie Politikwissenschaft an der Freien Universität Berlin.
