Through a bibliographical study, the research brings together several authors who discuss the inclusion of art as a therapeutic resource, and by presenting the relationship between these two areas, Art Therapy and Autism, through the eyes and practice of several researchers, we seek to understand how the art therapy process benefits the autistic population. Given that the relationship between art therapy and autism is still little publicised bibliographically, but that its practice is used in the therapeutic context, this paper proposes a theoretical foundation for how art helps therapists to build a treatment model for autism.
