"I got and read this book on recommendation from a friend, and I have to admit that I'm thoroughly impressed with it. It's a deep dive into some local Greek mythology, told in a story-with-a-plot kind-of-way. It probably helps if you are already interested in this particular material, because there's a lot. It's refreshing to not need every sub-plot neatly tied off with a bow. Although, I do think back to one of the characters and wonder WHY?!?! The meat of this book is the mythology, and it's couched in the plot, so it's not just a dry recounting of stories. There's a goal to these ancient character and how they relate to the book.
