Since the beginning of time, scientists and researchers have been fascinated by the brain's unique properties. It consists of networks of neurons that communicate with the rest of the body. This research focused on the potential applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of dentistry and periodontology. The study found that AI has the potential to revolutionize the way dental professionals diagnose and treat patient. AI technology has had an impact on the healthcare industry. Periodontitis, one of the most common diseases in the world, causes the deterioration and loss of the tissues that support the teeth. In this investigation, the impact of AI on the aetiology and diagnosis of this disease will be assessed in light of contemporary literature. A thorough search was done in January 2021 to find papers where AI was utilised as the independent variable in the assessment, diagnosis, or treatment of people with periodontitis.
