Artificial Neural Networks represent a computational paradigm used in the development of intelligent systems. They are currently being used in various areas of human knowledge, particularly in areas where traditional computer systems do not allow for the development of systems that meet expectations, such as voice and image recognition. Another area where ANNs offer great modelling possibilities is complex behavioural phenomena. In this work, the production of biosurfactant by Candida lipolytica was modelled, given that biosurfactants have been used to replace artificial surfactants with impactful advantages for people's health and well-being, and are an essential element in the chemical and food industries.
