The technology of breeding, nursery rearing and culture of Puntius sarana are simple, easy and economically viable. The hatchery owners easily breed, rear and supply requisite qualities of P. sarana fry to meet up the demand of the fish farmers.The farmer may adopt monoculture or polyculture system easily and have a chance to produce enough fish and improve their social and economical status by selling this endangered fish. It would be wise to breed the fish in capacity through administration of PG or Ovaprim with a view to produce adequate number of fry and fingerlings to cater the need of the fish farmers. A substantial quantity of P. sarana fingerlings could also be release in the open water system to replenish the stock.
