The research on Arts Education in Namibian Schools, is a study on titled subject done in 2014 by Ms Olivia Amupala. She an artist herself, felt the need to raise awareness on the importance of the Arts Education. The study starts by looking at the Namibian education history, up to what it was then in 2014 and comparing it to the Finnish educational system. The aim for this thesis was to research the current state of Arts Education in Namibia and ultimately find alternatives to develop it. This subject in itself has been poorly documented in the past, so for research Ms Amupala with the help of the Namibian Ministry of Youth, National, Services, Sports and Cultures, Directorate of the Arts conducted a questionnaire that went out to all 14 regions of Namibia. Although first research on the subject was done three years prior to this study, the results from the questionnaire clearly indicated that Arts Education was very little or not at all. Ms Amupala shares ideas and solutions on how to better Arts Education in Namibian schools. These solutions include a vision 2030 for Namibia's Arts Education.
