La dott.ssa R. Veena lavora attualmente come professore associato presso il Dipartimento di Inglese del Dharmapuram Adhinam Arts College, Mayiladuthurai. Ha conseguito il B.A nel 1993, il M.A nel 1995 e ha ottenuto il secondo posto universitario e la medaglia d'oro presso un'istituzione affiliata all'Università Bharathidhasan. Ha conseguito un master (1998) e un dottorato (2008) presso l'Università di Annamalai.
