An old street kid's perspective on enlightenment. Born in humility, kicking, screaming, covered in blood, with a dash of humor for the consumer. Written in verse. My poetry is my response to my past and current life experiences. Every poem I write is a cathartic experience for me. I know that it's me writing them, but I have never, in all my years of writing, felt a presence supporting my words as I do now. Today I believe in my own heart more than I ever have, and if my poetry touches your heart or comforts you in any way, I have done my humble part.

Autorenporträt
Geoffrey C. Parks was born in Queens, New York, in a typically normal dysfunctional family. Shooting marbles, tossing baseball cards, banging the tambourine for the Salvation Army, and going to Far Rockaway and the Bronx Zoo with his dad and brother were some of the highlights of his early years. He currently lives in Laguna Niguel, California, with his wife and soul mate, Heather. He has four children and nine grandchildren. He still surfs, snowboards, and exercises regularly with his wife. He has had thirty years of amazing psychotherapy, and meets every week with a group of men who share their fears, dreams, and hopes. His mantra is "peace and love," and he focuses his heart on living a conscious life. His poetry and novels are a manifestation of his beliefs.
